Ecstasy




MDMA or Ecstasy (3-4methylenedioxy-N-methylamphetamine) is a synthetic drug with amphetamine like and hallucinogenic properties. It is considered a designer drug, a substance on the drug market that is a chemical analogue or variation of another psychoactive drug.

  • XTC
  • X
  • Ecstasy
  • Essence

What Ecstasy looks like:

Ecstasy is distributed in tablet form. Each tablet is usually branded with some type of graphic or design (ex. Butterflies, Stars, Letters, etc), and usually contains 100 mg of MDMA.

Methods of use:

  • Ingested orally
  • Injected*
  • Snorted*
  • Suppository**

    * Sometimes tablets are crushed to snort or inject

    ** In some cases it is made in suppository form

Short term effects:

  • Increased heart rate, blood pressure and body temperature
  • Dehydration
  • Chills and/or sweating
  • Nausea
  • Blurred Vision
  • Faintness
  • Dizziness
  • Confusion
  • Insomnia
  • Paranoia
  • Hypertension
  • Jaw and teeth Clenching/muscle
  • Anxiety

Long term effects:

  • Sleep disorders
  • Persistent elevation of Anxiety
  • Aggressive and impulsive behavior
  • Rash
  • Depression
  • Drug craving
  • Severe anxiety
  • Kidney Failure
  • Cardiovascular system failure
  • Muscle breakdown
  • Liver Damage
  • Brain Damage
  • Paralysis
