PHONE SCAM'S

Every day across this country and here in Craighead County, people are being scammed out of thousands of hard-earned dollars, making scammers worldwide VERY RICH. The Craighead County Sheriff's Office does not want you to fall victim to these types of crimes.

These criminals obtain deputies' names and information, and are very knowledgeable in terminology, and ARE VERY convincing!!!!! They even can clone the Sheriff's Office phone number and caller ID will show that. Again, VERY convincing!

REMEMBER.

The Craighead County Sheriff's Office will never call you to say you have warrants, that you have missed jury duty, or ask for payments over the phone to take care of the warrant. The Sheriff's office will never accept payment through any cash app, Venmo, Green Dot money card, etc.  

If you receive any type of call like this IMMEDIATELY HANG UP!
